To set your child up to REACH in Prep at Woogaroo Creek State School, we encourage all 2026 Prep students and their families to attend all of our 'Experience REACHing in Prep Mornings' on Wednesday 21st May, Wednesday 25th June, Wednesday 13th August and Wednesday 17th September 8:30–9:30am.
We also encourage all Prep students and their families to join us for all four of our Term Four 'Ready, Set, REACH for Prep' transition sessions. Please see image below for more information.
If you haven't visited the school before, please join us for one of our School Tours on Wednesday 5th March, Wednesday 2nd April, Wednesday 21st May, Wednesday 25th June, Wednesday 13th August, Wednesday 17th September, Wednesday 5th November or Wednesday 10th November 4:00–4:30pm.
Rocky's Playgroup
Did you know we run a weekly Rocky's Playgroup at WCSS? Why not join us every Tuesday morning 8:25–9:30am, during school terms. Attending Rocky's Playgroup will support future Preps to REACH in Prep by meeting WCSS staff, exploring the school and meeting fellow future Prep students. Rocky's Playgroup is free and everyone is welcome!
Partnerships with Early Childhood Education Centres
Supporting all children to reach new heights
At our school, we believe that establishing strong partnerships with our local Early Childhood Education Centres (ECECs), enables all students to be set up for a successful transition to school, so they can reach new heights from their very first day in prep. These partnerships also support all staff to reach new heights, through respectful collaboration to empower each other professionally.
At Woogaroo Creek State School, to support partnerships with our local ECECs, we prioritise weekly Kindergarten visits by a member of our prep teaching team, engage in early year’s networking opportunities, and use transition statements and contact between our inclusion teacher and kindergarten teachers to ensure we are ready for your child so they can reach new heights from their very first day.
