Welcome to Woogaroo Creek State School on Purser Road, Augustine Heights where we set students up for success each day to ensure they can 'REACH' new heights.
As we are an enrolment managed school, our enrolment procedures are governed by our
School Enrolment Management Plan (PDF, 150KB). A school enrolment management plan is a legal document that ensures students can attend their closest school. It also ensures that the best use can be made of available resources.
At our school, we have an enrolment process which is outlined below.
Step 1
Check the school catchment map first to see if you are 'In Catchment' or 'Out of Catchment'.
Step 2 Expression of Interest (EOI)
Complete the online Student Enrolment Expression of Interest (EOI)
Step 3—Administration contact
After submitting the Student Enrolment Expression of Interest (EOI) , our Administration team will contact you to request 2 proof of residency documents:
1 Primary source of residency
- rates notice
- current rental/ lease agreement
- unconditional contract of sale for house (and land if building)
and1 Secondary source of residency
- utility bill (i.e gas, land line telephone (not mobile), water or electricity)
These proof of residency must show the same address and the parent’s/ legal guardian’s name.
Note: If you are building a property in our catchment: A 'Statutory Declaration', stating your current address and that you are building within Woogaroo Creek State School’s catchment, with the intent of the house being your principal place of residence and proposed move in date, will need to be provided.
Step 4- Application for student enrolment form
Once your enrolment has been accepted, we will contact you to complete the 'WCSS Enrolment Application'. Once you have completed the 'WCSS Enrolment Application', email your application to enrolments@woogaroocreekss.eq.edu.au
Step 5- QParents Set Up
Once the enrolment has been processed by our Administration team, you will receive an invitation to join QParents. QParents will be used to finalise the enrolment application by completing the 'State School Consent Form' (Media Consent Form) & 'Online Services Consent Form' (ICT applications consent form). Information and steps to register for QParents can be found here: WCSS QParents
*Please note, the enrolment will not be progressed until this step is completed*
Step 6—Set Up for Success Check In
Once all forms have been submitted, you will be contacted by our Inclusion Support Teacher for a ‘Set Up For Success Check In’ telephone call. During this telephone call, our Inclusion Support Teacher will finalise all necessary information that we will use to set your child up to REACH new heights at Woogaroo Creek State School.
Step 7—Enrolment session
Once the 'Set Up for Success Check In' has taken place and this process is complete, our Inclusion Support Teacher will contact you to invite you and your child to attend an Enrolment session. Enrolment Sessions take place on Thursdays at 11.30am at the school Administration Office (A Block) with the School Leadership Team.
You will be emailed a confirmation of the Enrolment session that you will be attending. This session will provide you with an overview of our school and key school processes.
At the end of the session, our School Uniform Shop will open. We are a full uniform school. Our uniform has been designed in consultation with our community. These are sold at an on-site uniform shop run by our uniform suppliers, Uniform Management Services (UMS).
If you are enrolling a child in Prep, please bring along a copy of your child's birth certificate. If you do not have a copy of their birth certificate, apply online through
birth certificate application and bring along to your interview.
At the end of the enrolment session, a start date for your child will be confirmed via email. You will be emailed a 'Meet the Teacher', an overview of your child's teacher, to welcome them to Woogaroo Creek State School.
Out of catchment information
If your address does not fall within our catchment, you are invited to submit an Expression of Interest for consideration of enrolment at Woogaroo Creek State School.
All Out of Catchment enrolment applications must be completed online, paper applications will not be accepted at administration.
Families are advised that there are limited numbers for out of catchment enrolments and the Principal's decision is final.
