Welcome to Woogaroo Creek State School on Purser Road, Augustine Heights where we set students up for success each day to ensure they can 'REACH' new heights.

As we are an enrolment managed school, our enrolment procedures are governed by our School Enrolment Management Plan (PDF, 150KB). A school enrolment management plan is a legal document that ensures students can attend their closest school. It also ensures that the best use can be made of available resources.

At our school, we have an enrolment process which is outlined below.

Step 1

Check the school catchment map first to make sure you are eligible to enrol at Woogaroo Creek State School.

Step 2

Fill out an online Enrolment Expression of Interest (EOI) for the 2024 School year.

Step 3—Proof of residency

After submitting the Student Enrolment Expression of Interest (EOI), you will be required to email through 2 proof of residency documents:

1 primary source

  • rates notice
  • current rental/ lease agreement
  • unconditional contract of sale for house (and land if building)

and

1 secondary source

  • utility bill
    • gas
    • land line telephone (not mobile),
    • electricity etc

showing this same address and the parent’s/ legal guardian’s name.

Note: If you are building a property in our catchment: A 'Statutory Declaration', stating your current address and that you are building within Woogaroo Creek State School’s catchment, with the intent of the house being your principal place of residence and proposed move in date, will need to be provided.

Send 2 proof of residency documents to:

Email: enrolments@woogaroocreekss.eq.edu.au with the subject heading of the email: 'Student first name; student last name; student date of birth; Proof of residency.

Example: Subject: John Smith 27/2/2016 Proof of residency.

Once received, you will be emailed:

  • a confirmation of receipt
  • a confirmation of your child’s place of residence within the Woogaroo Creek State School catchment area
  • a confirmation to proceed with your child/ren’s enrolment
  • the 'Application for Student Enrolment' form
  • the links to online school forms to be filled out for enrolment.

Out of catchment information

If your address does not fall within our catchment, you are invited to submit the Expression of Interest for consideration of enrolment at Woogaroo Creek State School.

Applications must be submitted digitally via our Expression of Interest Form on the Enrolments page of our website and applicants must pay the out of catchment administration fee of $100 for their application to be considered. Out of catchment applications will not be accepted on paper at our administration.

The administration fee covers processing by our enrolment officer, printing, review by our Principal and outcome notifications. The fee is paid via the Qkr! App or website by searching for our school name and clicking on the 'School Payments' tab. The application processing fee is not refundable and is payable per child. Families are advised that there are very limited numbers for out of catchment enrolments and the Principal's decision is final. For these reasons, families are strongly encouraged to enrol in their local catchment state school or remain at their current school.

Step 4

Part A – Application for student enrolment form—link emailed after proof of residency is confirmed

Complete the application for 'Student Enrolment' form that has been emailed to you on confirmation of place of residency in our catchment area.

Email your 'Application for Student Enrolment' form to: enrolments@woogaroocreekss.eq.edu.au

Part B – Online school forms—links emailed

Complete and submit the ESign online forms by clicking on the links that will be email to you. Select 'Submit' (top right-hand corner) once completed and the form will be automatically emailed through to the school.

  1. Student medical form
  2. School consent form
  3. New student profile form
  4. Student Resource Scheme (SRS)
  5. Third party website consent form
  6. Student library (RLC) Loan agreement

Step 5—Set Up for Success Check In

Once all forms have been submitted, you will be contacted by our Inclusion Support Teacher for a ‘Set Up For Success Check In’ telephone call. During this telephone call, our Inclusion Support Teacher will finalise all necessary information that we will use to set your child up to REACH new heights at Woogaroo Creek State School.

Step 6—Enrolment Meeting

Once the 'Set Up for Success Check In' has taken place and this process is complete, our Inclusion Support Teacher will contact you to invite you and your child to attend an Enrolment Session. Enrolment Sessions take place on Thursdays at 11.30am at the school Administration Building with the School Leadership Team.

You will be emailed a confirmation of the Enrolment Session that you will be attending. This session will provide you with an overview of our school and key school processes.

At the end of the session, our School Uniform Shop will open. We are a full uniform school. Our uniform has been designed in consultation with our community. These are sold at an on-site uniform shop run by our uniform suppliers, Uniform Management Services (UMS).

You will also have the opportunity to pay your child's Student Resource Scheme (SRS) contribution after this session at our school office.

If you are enrolling a child in Prep, please bring along a copy of your child's birth certificate. If you do not have a copy of their birth certificate, apply online through birth certificate application and bring along to your interview.

At the end of the enrolment session, a start date for your child will be confirmed via email. You will be emailed a 'Meet the Teacher', an overview of your child's teacher, to welcome them to Woogaroo Creek State School.
